Re: There is no play button in ea for sims 4

The play button wasn't there when I hovered at first. I found the problem later.
Someone had downloaded the sims on their user and it was on local disc so when I tried to download, ea stopped the download thinking I already had the game.
I deleted it from their user, downloaded mine to documents, and reinstalled their version on their user.
I appreciate your help though👍🏽

@SesLovesSims  It's a really bad idea to have Sims 4 installed into Documents, for a few different reasons.  I would highly recommend uninstalling it and moving it pretty much anywhere else.  If you install to the default C:\Program Files\EA Games, all users will be able to access it, so you won't need multiple copies installed at the same time.

Documents was the default location when I installed the Sims. I later discovered that you can't have the sims on 2 users at once according to my experience.

@SesLovesSims  The default location for the game's program files is this:

    C:\Program Files\EA Games

You can of course change the default within the EA App, and it's fine to change it to almost anything, but not Documents, for the reason you've seen and others.  I would still suggest uninstalling and reinstalling almost anywhere else.

This has nothing to do with the Sims 4 user folder, which is always stored in Documents > Electronic Arts.  That folder contains saves, Tray files, etc., as opposed to the folders (Data, Delta, Game, etc.) within the program files.

The first time I downloaded it, the default location was documents. The second time, the default location was program files. I don't know why it did that. Either way, I still can't use The Sims on two users at once. I've tried and it doesn't start.

@SesLovesSims  Are you restarting the computer when switching users?  I haven't tested multiple user accounts in a while, but it always worked for me, and there's no good reason it shouldn't still be allowed.  And I'm always telling people to test the game in a new Windows account, and while sometimes it doesn't help, it does often enough that this is clearly possible in general.

I don't restart the computer. I just log off one and log on to another. The play button will not be there for one user.
