Can you explain? cause i’m having the same “problem”

@LaurenPelczynski if you check under game options and Get Famous, and there a check in the box, then nobody getting any points.. if you uncheck the box everyone getting points. if you click Simology then click Fame Points then click be in the spotlight you are the only one getting points next to whomever else famous is getting points.. 

I think that's right.

I'm still getting this problem and those two things are enabled for me. 

Are you sure you are not gaining fame? You do NOT get a fame point by doing just one interaction that has +fame next to it. It takes a lot. A tip to speed up fame gathering is to buy a drone and set it to stream while you do stuff that not by itself gives any fame. Also remember that fame will decrease over time if you do not do anything that generates fame.

That is not working correctly.  I have the fame disabled, but was able to continue getting fame points on my celeb.  There s an option to get into the spotlight.  Now, a sim who had 1 star of fame (under the disabled spotlight setting), made 2 star & gets 0 fame points.

This isn't the issue either (see above post).  It is an issue of a fame level increase (i.e. going from 2 star to 3) not awarding any fame points to be spent on abilities.

Did you ever find a fix for this issue? I'm dealing with the same thing right now.

All was well until she joined the athletic career.

That's when she leveled up but didn't get an additional fame point for doing so.

Very weird.

I ran a repair for the program and now the guy in the game, who is level 2, has 3 (!) fame points (he's only level 2!) while she's still down to only 1 instead of the 2 she should be having.

Looks like the game rewarded him with the point she should have gotten. LOL!

Yikes!

This mechanic appears to be broken in my game. Pristine reputation. Highest career level. Never any fame points earned.
