Re: Update won't Cancel
The last update on 12/20/18 (1.48.94.1020) was a hot fix, I don't think you can cancel it. The message I got when I logged in was that there was a new required update, and I couldn't play TS4 until I downloaded and installed it.
If you are repairing the game, it's going to want to repair it to the newest version anyway. You're kind of stuck with it - you can't repair without being online; you can't open or play TS4 without allowing that hot fix to install, now that it knows the update is there.
I will say - I personally always wait a couple of days before I install a game patch, to see what happens. If you were trying to avoid problems with the Dec. 18 patch, the update you're getting is the one that hot-fixes it, so really no reason to fear. As far as I know, it didn't introduce any new problems, and it fixed a couple of pretty major ones. I hope that helps.
