Re: Visual Artifacts and then Game Crash

I fixed it!!! 

Here is what worked for me...

Steps:

  1. Un-install the game, be sure to create a backup of your saved game files (see below).
  2. Reboot the computer.
  3. Re-install DirectX 11, you can find it here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 
  4. Reboot the computer.
  5.  Re-install the Sims 4 and all updates.

Backing Up Saved Game Files:

In your "My Documents" folder you should see a folder in there called "Electronic Arts" and inside of that folder you should see a folder named "The Sims 4". You will need to make a copy of that folder, if for some reason you need to restore your files just copy the backup to the original location. 

If this does not work please let me know and I will try and help you fix it.

    @SteenShell Can I use your pic should I make a post about this in my blog (not sure yet, depends on the amount of people that have this issue)
