@8oesgm9fjs15  This hardware should run Sims 4 on low-medium to medium graphics settings, depending on your play style and which packs you install.

Is this a computer you already have, or one you're considering buying?  If you're looking to purchase and would like a second opinion, or other suggestions, just ask.  In the case of other suggestions, I'd need to know your budget and country as well as any other details that matter to you.  For a second opinion on any other laptop, please link its product page.

    Actually, as I was continuing to look, I've found an i5 that should meet all the basic requirements! 

    HP 15.6" FHD Laptop, Intel Core i5-1135G7, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Silver, Windows 11 Home, 15-dy2795wm

    I also really will only be using it for the Sims and my schoolwork. Thank you for your help hah.

    @8oesgm9fjs15  This laptop's hardware is significantly faster, enough that it should be able to run Sims 4 on medium-high to high settings.  It's also pretty much as good a laptop as you'll find for under about $600 U.S. or the equivalent.  The only real downside is its small drive, but 256 GB is more than enough for Sims 4 and most types of school work.  So unless you're learning to edit large video files or something, it should be sufficient.

    Point is, if you like this one, it should work well for your purposes.
