@lovettalluk Are you using mods ? Do you have a backup from before they changed ?
If you have mods and a backup, try removing all your mods, delete the localthumbcache file and then test if it happens again.
The game also makes automatic backups, if you're lucky, one of those still work: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/save-games/#wiederherstellen

Sadly no, I have played the game a few times now since this problem hit, so my saves are now all after the bug (should have backed up before the update but forgot). So while I can run it without mods, I only have like 2 of those, so don't believe thats the issue since it was the official update that changed several of my lots to different types, so I suspect I need to find some other way to fix the one remaining bugged one. (repair doesn't fix it)

- crinrict4 years agoHero+@lovettalluk I tested your save. To fix that one lot you haven't fixed yet, try placing a residential lot from the gallery.
The game should ask you if you want to sell the property. Say yes. After that the family should be back and you should be able to play them again.
The house that was on there probably can't be recovered.
