If I remember correctly, you mentioned that you couldn't play Sims 3 either?
Try these troubleshooting tips:
1. Repair Game:
In Origin > Game Library - right-click on Sims 3 and select Repair. - To make sure the install files and such are in working order.
2. Clear the game cache:
From inside the Sims 3 folder [\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3] delete these files: (These will be regenerated next time you play.)
CASPartCache.package; compositorCache.package; DeviceConfig.log; scriptCache.package; simCompositorCache.package; Sims3LauncherLogFile.log; Sims3Logs.xml; and socialCache.package
3. Sims 3 Factory Reset
Move or rename your current Sims 3 folder to Sims3Backup. Launch the game and play a new save. If it's not working, don't save.
However, if everything is playing okay then start putting the files back. (list of files and folders below).
-- Folders:
- DCCache Contains all installed Custom Content/Exchange/Store items that you installed through the Launcher.
- Downloads and Exports - Files you want to save = Sims/houses/commercial lots/store content
- Saves - Game File Saves
- SavedSims - Raw Sim people Files that you'll find in the Sim Bin
- Screenshots - Photos taken in-game using the C key.
- Recorded Videos - Videos taken in-game using the V key.
- Mods - Game mods and custom content
-- Files:
* Options.ini - Video and game options
* userPresets.package - Saved patterns/textures/colors
