Redeem Product Code on EA App with an EA ID Child Account (Not Email Based)

How do I Redeem an a product code in the new EA App for a childrens accounts. The website guides you to "myaccount.ea.com" but that requires an account with an email address only. My daughters EA account is tied to an EA ID and there is no option to change the log in to that on myaccount.ea.com

    Hey all,

    This issue with the missing Redeem Code button for underage accounts in the EA app is currently being investigated- I'll be updating the thread here as I get more info on this.

    Thanks for your patience, and the reports on this so far! 

    Update:

    This issue should now be resolved- the Redeem Code button should now be appearing in the EA app for underage accounts. 

    If you still run across any issues with redeeming codes for underage or child accounts, please be sure to let us know!

    As of today 15th Jan 2023, the Redeem Button has magically reappeared on my daughters child account.

    We didn't uninstall / reinstall etc. It just appeared (possibly after an update).

    There is still somewhat of an issue claiming Sims 4 Packs in that claiming sends you to an Error 404 page saying "Something Went Wrong" but if you check you add-ons, it did register and download.

    I can only assume it was a bug or oversight on EA's part.

    How do you actually generate a redeem code to let a chile play SIMS 4?

    I can't see any section anywhere in my account or theirs to generate a redeem code.

    @bezzzzzzaaaaa  You can't generate a code to redeem.  If you already have a code, you should be able to redeem it within the child's account.

    For now, what you can do is add Sims 4 to your own EA account and then contact EA customer support to have the game moved to the child's account.

    Same problem.

    Spent hours trying to get this to work and there is no code to redeem now Sims 4 is free.
