Reinstalled Game, now it is not running

Hey all! My game was previously downloaded under User > OneDrive > Documents > Electronic Arts. This was causing problems with my mods like the TSR Installer. So I uninstalled the game, removed all my mods, and reinstalled it under the recommended folder, Program Files\EA Games\ The Sims 4. But now when I try to load up the game, I get stuck on the "The Sims 4" loading screen, I don't even get the spinning plumbob. Also, The Sims 4 folded does not have the folders it should, instead it has the folders pictured in the screenshot. I have not put back any of my saves nor my mods, and it is on the most recent game version. I'm running on Windows 11. How can I get my game to actually run?

  • @ClaudiaSoup  You were right to reinstall Sims 4 somewhere not in Documents.  The situation here is that you have two Sims 4 folders, the program files in your screenshot and the user folder in Documents > Electronic Arts.  Please check the latter folder and let me know what's inside.  For example, OneDrive may have previously synced some part of the program files and redownloaded them now, or else is having some other syncing issue that's blocking the game's access to this folder.  Point is, please post a screenshot of this folder and we can go from there.

@puzzlezaddict I ended up reinstalling it again and now the documents\electronic arts folder is under Program\Users\Public\Documents etc rather than Program\[my name] etc. so I’ve found it and it’s accessible to me, just technically not under my account. I’m the only one who uses my computer and I have admin controls, do you think this will create a problem?
