Relationships decreasing for no reason??

I just downloaded the new Sims 4 City Living expansion pack and ever since I asked my sim's boyfriend to move into the apartment the friendship relationship bar has been decreasing dramatically. Evertime it does they both stop what they are doing, like they are being reset. I am always having them interact with each other so I have know idea why it is doing this. I did have to use a cheat to reset the marriage of the boyfriend, could that have anything to do with it? Should I just delete my sims and start over?
