Is there a way to delete sims 4 from my laptop and redownload it without losing all my packs? I’ve bought nearly all the DLC for the game and I don’t want to lose it but I’m having a lot of issues with my game so I want to start over with fresh game files. Can I do this without deleting all my packs??
First your packs are available thru Origin as long as they are bought and/or registered there.
You should not have to delete or uninstall those from your computer.
To simply reset your game folder please follow the steps below:
Go to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to find your saves etc.
You can delete that folder (The Sims 4) as long as there are no saves or screenshots you want to save..
Run Repair from Origin as described in the troubleshooting guide.
The repair function will refresh the packs installed.
Start the game.
The game will automatically create fresh versions of all the folders/files.
Viola! You now have a fresh start.
