[Resolved] Game ownership disabled or deleted

I own The Sims 4 on EA PLAY, also 18 addons to it, while starting the game from desktop message "Game ownership disabled or deleted" appears. On EA app I have the game in my library and all add-ons, but it wants me to download it again, even thought everything is already installed, because I played it yesterday (while trying to download i'm getting another error). Tried clearing my app cache, and every possible step in provided help article

Every add-on and also the game was purchased via EA Play.

CM Edit: Update thread title.

I wanted to pop in right away and say thank you, my game is working again!

I hope everyone else has theirs working too!

  • I downloaded the game yesterday, and I have been getting the "Game License is invalid" error message. I have tried clearing the cache, resetting my computer, uninstalling and reinstalling both the game and the EA app. I see that EA has posted saying they've resolved it, but it is not resolved for me. Please help.

    Hey all,

This issue should be resolved via the next update to the EA app. Please let us know if you continue to see this behavior once the update releases.

    Thanks!

  • Hello,

I am asking for help because there have been multiple expansion packs and digital content removed from my library. I do not see any information on how to get that back or why they have been removed (see screenshot below).

"Life of the Party Digital Content", "Up All Night Digital Content", "The Sims 3 High-End Loft Stuff", "The Sims 3 Late Night Expansion Pack", and "The Sims 4 Digital Deluxe" all have been removed with the listed reason: "This content has been removed for an unlisted reason. Check out our top help topics for more information."  When I click on the link it directs me to a general help page with no specific tips on how to access the content that has been removed form my library.

I had my EA app offline for about 2 weeks after the most recent Sims 4 update for the Crystal Creations Stuff Pack and that is the only change that I have made to my account prior to receiving this notice in my library. Any insight on how to get this content back would be appreciated as I have paid for this content I feel like I should be able to access it.

    Thank you 🙂

  • My Sims 4 game is not launching. When I try to go offline to play it says that my game license has expired with an error code. I'm 99% sure that has to do with the fact that the ea app was updated. I was able to play Sims before the update and now I can't. It seems like this incidence occurs only for certain people and not all. When is the likelihood that something like this will get resolved.?

*Note: I already talked to customer support for solutions and none of them worked.

  • App version 13.175.0.5688 (81648-266ae15411)

Still missing the same games even after clearing cache, unfortunately.

    Edit:
Completely uninstalled EA App using Revo Uninstaller Pro.
Deleted any EA related folders in ProgramData and Appdata.

    Restarted Windows.

Games and DLC in the attachment are still gone.

    EDIT AGAIN:

After chatting with support, it was determined that my Epic account had somehow become unlinked. I relinked it by opening a game from within Epic, was prompted to sign into EA, and then after that I exited and reopened the EA app, and all my games have returned.

I hope this helps someone else!
