Retail Employees Not Available for Hire

I'm curious if anyone else is having this issue. When I go to hire an employee for my store, none show available for hire. I have tried this every sim day for 3 sim weeks and still no employees are showing up available. I took out my mods folder and tried again. My neighborhood is full with a lot of sims. What am I missing?

    Even on  fresh game with no mods ?

    Did you try if you have the same issue for a different restaurant ? Do you have retail and if so, does it work there ?

    That scares me a bit. Wont I lose everything I've built? Like my employees,  decor, items I've made for sale etc...?

    Create a backup of your save and try on that. If it helps, you can check what you lost (I think you should only loose employees), if not, go back to your backup game.

    You can also just not save.

    Yes, selling then buying again worked. Annoying though. I wonder how often I'm going to have to do this? Thanks for the suggestion.
