S3 Camera - wheel click angle rotation not working on certain mouses?

Hi,

I recently came back to the game, and I used to use the S3 Camera. Though, I tried using wheel click for the camera rotation with the mouse I was using it last time (which the wheel click worked, and works everywhere except for Sim 4), it did not work at all. The icon did not showed up and it did not worked for S4 Camera. Then I switched to other mouse and it worked perfectly somehow.

Is this something that already have been noticed to any other players? I have checked any mods or CC that might crash the camera settings, but nothing was suspicious about it.

    dnwn_209​  I've seen other reports of all or some of the Sims 3 Camera features not working, but not anything that confirms it happens only on some mice.  (I do ask people to test with another mouse if the simpler workarounds don't help, but either it hasn't worked so far or they haven't replied to me.)

    What mouse do you have that works, and what mouse does not?  How old are their drivers?  To check, click Windows key-X, select the Device Manager, expand Mice and other pointing devices, right-click the entry for a given mouse, and select Properties > Driver.  You'll see the version and date, and you can check for newer drivers here as well.

    Try checking whether the mouse wheel click is being detected properly outside the game first. Some mice or their software remap the middle button, which can interfere with camera rotation. Also, check the Sims 4 camera settings and test with another mouse if possible to see whether it’s a device-specific issue.

    Ive tried everything and my middle mouse scroll wheel no longer works with the game. I dont know how to fix it. Its very frustraiting cus of muscle memory.

    Firestarter9000​  Do all the other mouse functions work in-game?  Are you using the Sims 3 or Sims 4 camera, and have you tried switching back and forth?  And does your scroll wheel work outside the game?  Please test both the scrolling and the clicking functions.
