Save Files Unrecoverable

I am so frustrated and defeated. Today I tried booting up the Sims 4 after removing basemental mods & updating cc, as well as my laptop, and my save was completely gone. I had exactly one saved game.

 I have tried everything. Renaming files, removing the saves folder, removing the mods folder, unclicking mods in the game options, removing one copy of the save at a time, repairing the game, anything listed on here or reddit or other forums. I have the files. It's not synced to OneDrive. I moved everything from OneDrive to my computer last night. I did a sweep of OneDrive today. The game just won't show the save in the game. I've accepted it as a lost cause but I'm upset this happened at all. Begging EA to fix this so it doesn't happen to anyone in the future.

    could you please post a pic of the content of your saves folder as well as a pic of the ingame screenshot options ?

    I found out what happened! I was having trouble finding mods downloaded from Curseforge, and was clicking through everything possible when I found it. My computer made a hidden duplicate Electronic Arts folder when I moved my documents folder from OneDrive to Windows/computer. I haven't added the old saves back yet, but it answered my confusion. The new path is Windows (C:) > Users > Public > Public Documents. 

    (I don't know if that's common or just a my laptop thing. It's a several years old HP Pavillion. Bought in 2020 but I think it was made two years before that.)
