Selvadorada NPCs lose skin tone when I come home?
Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.67.45.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except for Journey to Batu
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to Selvadorada and meet NPCs. Have baby with one of them. Return to regular world.
What happens when the bug occurs? All NPC loses skin tone and become palest shade. Baby is grey. NPC's other children in family tree are also grey.
What do you expect to see? I expect for dark-skinned NPC to stay dark-skinned, and for baby to inherit dark skin. Mom sim is medium skin tone.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
My sim made friends with NPCs with and got pregnant with a dark skinned sim in Selvadorada. Return to the regular world (in my case Brindleton Bay) and dark-skinned NPCs from Selvaroada in the relationship menu are now the palest skin tone or the gray skin tone. I had a baby with a dark-skinned NPC (my Sim is medium-skinned) and the baby was gray. On the family tree, the NPC's other babies are also gray. The NPC is now white in the relationship menu.
I use custom skins, but not custom default skins. I removed them all and the issue persisted. Custom skins work fine otherwise - I used cas. fulleditmode to make my child a darker skin tone closer to her father's, but her family tree is full of grey and white sims. Do NPCs sometimes generate with custom skin tones if they are installed and is it possible that the Selvadorada sims lost their custom skin tone when I left the vacation world? Therefore defaulting to grey or white? Will installing default custom skins or custom skins synced with genetics avoid this in the future?
If it's relevant, I didn't close the game - the issue happened in the same session. It just started as soon as I returned home from vacation.
