settings returning to default
all help I can find on this issue is so old it suggests I start the game in Origin lmfao so yeah I'm struggling.
Basically I redownloaded the Sims 4 yesterday and ever since, my settings will NOT stick. I'm trying to turn the graphics down to reduce lag as well as get rid of emily and discovery quests and make the game fullscreen. But whenever I exit out of the game so it can implement he changes it just reverts back to default settings.
My save is intact and repairing did nothing and admin mode doesn't exist anymore on EA app, plus I didn't understand anything else said online about .int files?? I don't have any mods installed. Any ideas on how to fix this?

If that's not the problem, an app trying to "optimize" your Sims 4 settings could be the culprit. For example, GeForce Experience has had that option for a number of years. Other supposedly game-boosting apps may do the same. So please check the settings of any such apps you happen to have.
