Sim cancels marriage proposal glitch

Hi, I am writing this because I've tried everything possible to fix this but I still can't! My sims are dating, and I want to get them engaged. The option to propose is there, but whenever I click on it, my sim stands there for a few minutes, the action disappears, and it looks like my sim resets. I have removed ALL mods, reset both sims, tried this on multiple lots, and I don't know how to fix it.

    Never mind, I fixed it, yay! Turns out I had one more mod installed, but I mistook it for custom content when sorting through my mods folder.

    @summerjanet

    Are you using any mods or cc in your game? Try to remove them and see if the game works better.
    For example, move the mods folder from C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to your Desktop and start the game.
