Sim glitches when it’s time to do a university activity or go to class

My sims have missed class time and time again especially on the day of their final. Every time it’s time for them to go to their college class, they either freeze or won’t cancel the current activity they’re doing. I can’t click the “go to class button” either. It sometimes who’ll happen when they have a soccer activity or something of the sorts. My sims have had to repeat multiple classes due to missing their final. I even get the,” class is in an hour” notification late sometimes. Usually after class has happened. My sims should have graduated already.
