Sim is about to give birth and cribs spawn everywhere

One of my sim's neighbor was about to give birth, and where ever she walked, cribs spawned. I exited the game quite a few times but the cribs stayed; it happened with other pregnant npcs too, and never happened before. Its getting a bit annoying, can I do anything to make it stop?
