Sim not moving

My sim has just stopped moving in the middle of the room. The other sims on lot are OK and moving about but one sim is just standing in the middle of the room with needs decaying. I've tried traveling, change sim, moving furniture and currently doing a game repair.

I've also had two nannies on my lot for ages I had to fire them to get rid.

I have had sims disappear, when you click their icon it takes you off lot then all of a sudden they reappeared where they were meant to be going.

  • @pantha1984  When you send a sim to travel and bring the stuck sim along, what exactly happens?  Have you tried moving households to see if a new lot would be any better?  You don't have to save after doing this; it's just a useful test.

Does this happen in only one save, or in a new save as well?  Do you use mods or custom content, and have you tried without?

    hi

The sim reset after I traveled and brought the sim with me. Now my game is so laggy I've just moved to a new smaller family for a bit. I don't us mods or cc as it seems like there is a new update every week and I know I will get more annoyed with the whole fixing them all the time.

    Thanks for the help

@pantha1984  Among the many issues currently causing the game to run slowly is this one:

    https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Game-Freezing-because-of-Father-Winter-Aftermath-Patch-1-69-57/td-p/9835144

While new saves should no longer be affected, older saves were not fixed by the recent patch.  There are ways to try to fix a save on your own though, if you're interested.

If the game lags in a new save though, that's not your issue.  If you run into more problems and would like to troubleshoot more, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
