Sim rotating too fast in CAS.

So recently when trying to rotate a sim it rotates way too quickly even when I move my mouse slowly. I’m not sure why it started happening. Also when trying to edit my sims face everything moves way too fast as well. I’m not sure how to fix it.

Hello I’ve been trying to figure out why my sim randomly started rotating overly fast in Create a Sim. The other problem I have while in Create a Sim is the sliders to edit your sims face & body move too quickly to where I can’t even control it or make my sim properly. I’ve tried removing Mods, disabling overlays, repairing etc etc nothing is working so far and it’s pretty frustrating. So if anyone can help I would appreciate it so much!

  • seenvenus  Do you have any files in ConfigOverride, inside Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4?  If so, please remove them.

If that doesn't help, disable any apps you use that come with overlays: Discord, Steam, etc.  Disable the EA App in-game overlay as well, under Settings > Application.

puzzlezaddict No I don’t have any ConfigOverride inside The Sims 4 folder. I already disabled overlays. None of that helped unfortunately.

  • seenvenus  There should always be a ConfigOverride file in the Sims 4 user folder.  If it's not there, the game will create a new one.  So if you're not seeing it, you're not looking at the correct folder.  Here's how to find the right location:

    https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/

If you're saying the folder exists but there aren't any files inside, then please try playing in a clean boot:

The one service to leave enabled is the EABackgroundService, which the EA App needs in order to run.  Disable the rest as described.

When you reboot your computer, go through the Task Manager's background processes list shutting down any service that doesn't absolutely need to be running, for example anything from MSI Afterburner to RGB software might still be enabled.  If you accidentally kill a critical process and it doesn't restart on its own, just reboot your computer again.

Don't open anything other than Sims 4 and the EA App while testing, not even a browser window.

If this helps, you can selectively reenable services until you find the culprit, then either leave that disabled or (if it belongs to an app you want to keep using) let me know what it is so we can try to fix the underlying issue.
