simoleons from thought bubbles

You know the bubbles that pop up above the Sim that have to do with the current mood and aspirations? I've been completing them to earn simoleons and I see that I am rewarded the simoleons but my balance doesn't change at the bottom....?? So basically I have 100 simoleons and complete a task that rearwards 25 simoleons but it stays at 100... Is it supposed to be like that orrr....?

    It's not Simoleons you get for those. Those are reward points you can redeem in the reward section.

    Go to the aspiration and click on the star there to see what your sims can buy for it.
