@vvanessaa0_ Delete localthumbcache.package too. Moving the Mods folder elsewhere (you don't have to delete it outright) is an excellent first troubleshooting step, but localthumbcache can retain a bit of mod-related data as well.
The issue in your screenshots is usually due to an outdated UI Cheats mod or one made by TwistedMexi. Make sure you're always downloading the most recent versions of mods and that their download pages specifically state that they're compatible with whatever the current patch level is. And if you download a Mods folder from somewhere, take the time to go through its contents and remove any actual mods: it's better to download fresh copies yourself.

hello! thankyou very much for your advice. unfortunately i tried everything you said and it still didnt work, i deleted all ui cheats mods and the menu was still messed up. i ended up repairing the game not knowing that it would delete all my mods LOL ☹️ but it actually worked. it was probably a furniture mod that i downloaded that caused it to happen. at least i get a fresh start and can download mods that i know will work. thanks again.
