FIXED!
I had to uninstall Origin completely and delete the folders. Once I reinstalled the game worked.
After hours of chat and doing everything the customer support people told me, the game still encounters the same problem. I give up at the point where they told me to make a new administrator account in windows and install Sims 4 under it. I guess it'll be refund time unless a patch has been released by tonight.
Oh man that sucks, thank you for the heads up, I can stop waiting now knowing that I am just wasting my time. ☹️
I've been doing the same thing, and have a thread on it here too. None of it worked including the admin thing.
