FIXED!
I had to uninstall Origin completely and delete the folders. Once I reinstalled the game worked.
Yeah if I can't get it fixed by tonight I think I am going to have to ask for a refund as well. I believe you have 24 hours after you've launched the game (or attempted to launch it?) to get a refund.
Afraid so, jasap. I might not have bothered to ask for it if I had received some kind of official response from EA that they are aware of the problem and are working on resolving it. That is not the case, and considering the game shows in the Origin client as "Last played" whenever I tried to launch it last, well, I'm going to assume that attempting to start it counts as starting it and ask for my money back.
