Sims 4 : Screen is frozen
I just redownloaded the Sims 4 game on my laptop but every time I enter the game it's stuck. not even the mouse wants to move I can hear clicking sounds when I try to click on something, and music but the screen is still frozen.
I have to hit the window key to escape cause I can't see what I'm clicking when I try to enter the game now it's frozen on the page I clicked.
I tried resetting, uninstalling, updating, nothing works I have no mods or CC since it's a new game so I don't understand what's happening and it's only for the sims game.
@Aliza-Was-Here Please disable any apps that come with overlays: Steam, Discord, etc. Disable the EA App in-game overlay as well, under Settings.
If that doesn't help, try launching the game in windowed mode. Go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, open Options.ini, search for fullscreen , and set it to 0 (zero).
If that doesn't help either, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
