Sims 4 Buggy since terrain update?!

Is my game thee only game that’s buggy as hell since this update?? Terrain painting tool not working and my sim has just... disappeared?! Like she’s there but I can’t see her, can’t get her to do anything her but her needs magically seem to refill when they get empty? I’ve had the game on the fastest fast forward for 3 sim days and she’s gone to work and came back but she still doesn’t appear on the screen?! Also another sim of mine appeared as though he was at work when he wasn’t?! Meaning I couldn’t do anything with him either.. he just stood there lol. Getting soo frustrating now ☹️

@ducky_71457  mods are extensions that modify game play created by third party users. You download these mods and put them in the mods folder. You may have to unzip the mod before placing it in the mod folder. As these mods are created by third party users they are not tested and EA does not authenticate these mods - you are on your own. If you have issues with a mod you need to go to the developers site for assistance. EA recently put out the November patch that updates the games core code. This may (probably) require users to update their mods (redownload new version from developers site) for the game to run with mods after this patch.

Yep my terrain tools are not working either, not even the terrain paint tool.

    Other issues I have noticed:

bb.moveobjects will not levitate with 0 and 9

    Teleporting sims.

    Crashing when traveling between lots.

Sims "at work" but literally on same lot as me.

I used to play Sims4 a bunch years ago, then lost interest and my password. Recently, I've watched a lot of Let's Plays over on YouTube. They rekindled my desire to play, so I went ahead and bought the game again from the site. Literally, owned it for two days now.

I noticed the issues day one. My game is completely vanilla and fresh. There shouldn't be any issues, at all.

I assume it was the new update that caused this. I am hoping for a fix soon.

Do you have the latest version of Origin? It is very important to have Origin up to date ,when installing a game from a disk. The old version of Origin on the disk may not work correctly. To be sure you have the new one uninstall the Origin manually and download Origin once more. After unistalling Origin use ccleaner.

The terrain paint tool is working now after last patch. Bug with another terrain tools wasn't reported so far. Maybe you can not find them in bulding mode?
Another bugs what you have are strange. Normal this kind of bugs is related to outdated mods and CC..
Repair the game in Origin. Right click on TS4 - option repair game. There you can also choose the option "check for updates" but this applies only to the game, not Origin
    I don't work for EA

  • I am pissed to the point of just not even bothering with flipping EA and Sims anymore and I have been playing since classic...

My paint tools work fine but the flatten, smooth, rise, lower and so on do NOT work no matter what I do. I do have mods...skin, eyes, hair, makeup, accessories and I think a few clothing. Wouldn't have to use mods if EA bothered to make the skin, hair and eyes not look so bloody fake but whatever. This terrain issue didn't come out for me until Strangerville and I had been working on the trailer lot with a story line behind it, however when I went to add a basement to that lot it bumped the top land up in the same size the basement was. This would then remove anything on top of the land (plants, furniture) and no way to flipping flatten it out.

So now I am kissing that house that I have spent hours on goodbye and the story because the terrain tools wont work. Also I don't know if its just me but the size of the square/circle of the tool size never goes small enough to do anything. Like they stay rather large so I can't really target in onto the area I am trying to work with. Terrain tools are not a new concept to EA in Sims so why they are messing it up this bad is beyond me but I am losing my passion for Sims fast...
