Sims 4 not launching after Aug 25 update

Everytime i attempt to launch sims 4 it freezes on the loading screen. when i exit the sims but tab still open, then i click back on it, it unfreezes for about 5 secs then freezes again. i have changed the fullscreen option to 0 and wrote the correct game version. i have repaired it through ea and restarted my computer but nothing has worked. I have deleted all my mods from the folder and still no joy. please help :(
