Sims 4 buying an activity table

Question

I'm trying to buy the activity table in the Sims 4 but it won't let me. I don't know why it's not showing any messagesaying as to what's the problem. Please help or fix. Also I had a couple ideas of improving the game: 1. Bringing back toddlers. Toddlers were fun. I liked teaching my toddler to talk, walk and potty training them. And since we have emotions maybe u can add them being grumpy from getting teeth. 2. Seasons, the season expansion was the best on the Sims 3 I would love to have that on the Sims 4. I hope you at least consider these suggestions.

In reply to your question:Have you tried saving then quitting the game and then reopening it?
