sims 4/ buying packs
i have the base game purchased on a physical disk. can i download packs digitally via code or will it only work if they are on a physical disk as well, since my basegame is on disk?
@demiegodz I have the disk version and I redeemed the activation code in Origin and I have no problem activating DLC (digital or disc). The trick is where ever you buy the DLC you HAVE to get an activation code for Origin. Origin is the DRM for this game. Steam used to give you a code but I think that has changed (not sure on this). Other 3rd party vendors will give you a code. I think Steam links the game with Origin some how now (I think - not sure), I have bought base game and 1 DLC disc version from Amazon and bought some digital versions (code only) from Amazon and activation was no problem. Other DLC I bought through Origin and activation and install is immediate - no codes. hth
