@AnneCantGame Try trashing the options.ini file found in your documents folder, then reset everything and save again,

Then check if it now saves.

This did fix the problem, but I still want to see what the Gurus think caused the problem in the first place. Thank you!

  @AnneCantGame This is pretty common issue. It' been happening since the game came out.
  
  Something is corrupted about the option.ini. They should be aware but it's pretty hard to duplicate.

    I did delete the file that was giving the problem. I loaded the game and changed the settings around, closed out after saving and it was fixed. I've been having no luck with trying to fix it, and always had a hunch that it was some sort of file issue. I just never had the... ambition to try and find it. This has been driving me crazy for a week now.

Hello, having the same problem. But I don't have an options.ini folder. Any other suggestions?

  @Adelaide2017 It's not a folder. It's a file.
  
  Maybe it's just called options if you have extensions hidden.
  
  This could also be caused by your security software blocking the file.
