Sims 4 CAS Demo Camera Glitch

A few minutes into making a sim I cannot select anything and all I can do is rotate the camera. I cannot even click to save the sim I am making! I also can't even press the confirm button to close down the program, instead I have to open task manager and force shutdown, meaning I lose the sim I am making as I cannot save!

For some reason I can press f4 and bring up the gallery but I cannot click on anything in the gallery.

I am playing on a windows laptop with a multitouch trackpad however it does have left and right buttons.

    That is happening to me too! I shut the game down and started again, but the same problem happened only sooner
    I spent a while in an online chat to the support team but none of them could seem to find a solution. I'm now awaiting an email from the specialist team which I was told could take up to a week.

    Something which worked for me (I have no clue how long it is going to work for, but I might as well say now because this is the first time I have managed to fix it without starting it over), is holding the mouse down for a while on something, instead of clicking quickly, and then it just started working again. Probably not a very good fix to be honest and I don't know if it will work for anyone else but hey. 

    Edit: Doesn;t work anymore -_-

    The same glitch is happening to me. I tried Windows mode, which worked for a little while, but then the glitch happened again. The only way I can play is by quickly selecting already made features or uploading sims from the gallery and then I can only change there clothing during the game. Even when I try to change the clothing during the game, after I change one of their outfits I have to leave create a sim and save the game and then go back to create a sim just to make sure that the rotate glitch doesn't happen and I have to restart my computer. Please help!
