gypsyfolife Please test in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save, play for a bit, and see whether you can save your progress.
Your dxdiag does show that your graphics driver is a bit old. I wouldn't expect this to cause problems saving specifically, but it's worth updating anyway. You can use the newest driver Intel provides:

Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator." Restart after installing and before trying to play.
