Sims 4 crashes on windows 10 laptop without warning

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the geforce drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling the Visual C++ Redistributable and it didn't help.

after deleting the "mods" folder, the game lasted for the longest since the crashes 😀

will test it extensively tomorrow and I hope it's solved now!
