Sims 4 crashing in build mode.
Recently, while I’ve been trying To build in the Sims, it crashes. Sometimes after 5 minutes, sometimes after 30, I have to keep saving after I build each room so that if it does crash, I save my progress. After it crashes, I get last crash TXT in Sims files. I’ve tried almost everything. I’ve made sure my drivers are up to date. I made sure my RAM was good. Someone said to change sims to dx11. I repaired my game multiple times. I updated the mods that needed to be updated. I don’t know what needs to be updated for cc if any does. I tried doing the 50-50 Method but it takes hours because sometimes again it doesn’t crash for 30+ minutes and I have tons of mods and it would take hours To see if it’s my cc. I also tried to go into the MCCC Discord server to see if there’s anything about mods on there, but I couldn’t verify for some reason even though I have the latest version of Sims right now and followed all the directions to verify. I Downloaded better exceptions and deleted The mods it said to delete. I deleted unwanted CC. I also have tons of storage On my PC left. It only crashes in build mode by the way. I could be in CAS or game play for hours with no crash. Sometimes I’ll get the never-ending loading screen and then I’ll remove my mods and do the 50-50 for that but none of my mods will be the reason it’s doing that. once I put them all back in it’s fine. Same for saving my progress. Sometimes it’ll save instantly sometimes I’ll get the never-ending saving thing and I’ll do the 50-50 and it’ll be nothing. I don’t know if this is from the latest update or something, but can someone help me?
@Siarahc07 The dxdiag lists generic Sims 4 crashes that could have a number of different causes, unfortunately. One of those is broken or outdated mods or custom content, so that's the place to start. I understand it's a pain to test such a large collection when the crashes are so unpredictable, but at the very least, you could test with no mods or cc at all—another crash means you can probably rule out mods and cc (aside from the possibility that you're seeing multiple issues).
You don't need to save your in-game progress if you don't want your mods and cc removed from your existing saves. Just save the build you're working on to the library every so often, and you'll be able to place it again when you reload.
