sims 4 crashing no error message
My game keeps crashing but no error message is prompted. I am not able to get my sims through a week before it crashes, this has happened 4 times. The game is updated and I ran repairs but no errors...

@hotluck644 There are two Avast errors in your dxdiag which may or may not be related to the Sims 4 crashes. If you want to find out, the quickest way is to play while Avast is disabled. As long as you don't do anything else while playing, your computer should not be at risk. Or, if you prefer, you can uninstall and reinstall Avast to try to address the issue. The Sims 4 errors in your dxdiag are sort of nonspecific. I mean, the error are specific, they're access violations, but they could be caused by anything from an issue with the game files themselves to a bad mod or custom content item to an overloaded save with too much going on. Since you don't have cc yet, the first move is to clear Origin's cache and repair the game: open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.

If that doesn't help, you could test in a new save, for comparison. And if you happen to have mods, test without them as well.
It's also possible that the game is being difficult. If you're playing through several sim days at a time, or even longer, without saving, the chances are that something might go wrong. I've managed to crash the game in a new save in a clean user folder with zero added content, after playing for all of ten minutes, because I did something in build mode the game engine had to think about and then tried to undo it before the process had finished. It's just part of playing Sims 4.
Finally, the game could also be crashing without an error code, at least some of the time, and that could be due to hardware issues. Your computer may be new to you, but your processor and graphics card are quite old by computer standards. We're not at that point yet, but if the other steps don't help, it's something to keep in mind.
@puzzlezaddict It's just happened again. I did the perfmon command and clicked on the Sims 4 error. The attached is the error it gave. Don't know if it helps.
@hotluck644 That's the same Sims 4 error from before: an access violation that has several posssible causes. How long were you able to play before you saw the error? You said you don't have custom content, but do you have mods, and if so, have you tested without them? Please do that if you haven't already.
If that doesn't help, or you don't have mods, please clear Origin's cache and repair the game. If you get another crash, please try playing in a clean user folder: move your entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. Don't add anything to that folder yet; just start a new save and see how it goes. You can consolidate your old and new content later, so if you want to take the opportunity to make some new sims or build a house, it will be easy to add your work to your existing saves later.
Whenever you do get a crash, please let me know what was happening in-game at the time, and how long you'd been playing before it happened. And save regularly, just in case.
