Sims 4 Crashing to Desktop
My Sims 4 keeps crashing to desktop after 5 or fewer minutes of play (sometimes immediately). I won't even have to be running a file - it will crash from the Sims 4 homescreen. I've removed mods, even tried removing the Sims folder and launching the game fresh.
Thing I have tried:
- Updated and reinstalled my graphics card driver
- Removed all mods and CC
- Deleted the cache
- Removed EA/Sims 4 folder
- Repaired the game through Origin
- Ran DISM.exe repair
- Ran sfc scannow
- Ran compatibility mode and ran game with admin privilege's
- Tried netframework repair
- Updated Windows

@PodaTheHutt Some of the Sims 4 errors in your dxdiag do look like they might be related to the graphics driver, although it's not always clear with these types of errors. Try doing a clean uninstall of this driver and installing a slightly older one, from November, which you can get here:
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/
Here's how to clean uninstall and reinstall the driver:
If that doesn't help, try playing in a clean boot:

When you reboot, go through the Task Manager's background processes list shutting down everything that doesn't absolutely need to be enabled, for example RGB software or utilities like MSI Afterburner. If you kill the wrong process by mistake and it doesn't restart automatically, just reboot your computer.
