Sims 4 crashing upon launch after 06/06/2024 e-patch

I played the Sims 4 yesterday morning before the e-patch and everything was fine. In the evening it updated on its own, as per usual, and I tried to open the game and it immediately crashed upon launch. I closed the EA background Service, restarted my PC, tried open my game, first in offline mode, did not open, then turned WiFi back on and the game started to update again...and it crashed, again. The only mods in my game are the TOOL and BBB by twistedmexi. I trried launching without mods and it still does not work. I run the game on direct 9 and I'm afraid to switch to direct 11 just because I can't play the game without these 2 mods. Anyone else got their game broken after this e-patch from 06/06/24?

@inusea Apparently after completely uninstalling and reinstalling my game and all the packs, it FINALLY launches! Took me forever... Also my back-up saves and tray files are working just fine. Thanks to everyone who tried to help!

@puzzlezaddict I also tried the game after the update to see if it was going to work. I entered the gameplay for 15 mins and it didn't crash. However, it did crash 1 min after entering CAS. So I've realized it usually crashes during CAS or the main menu. But I did what you asked for and I hope it helps you figure out what the problem might be.
