Sims 4 Demo VC++ runtime error 1638, Origin error 327684:1

Hello,

I saw that Sims 4 was on a pretty big sale right now so I installed the Sims 4 Demo. It downloaded fine but it asks me to install. I click install and it says "finalizing" before it gives me these 2 errors:

I've already tried:

- Restarting PC

- Reinstalling Sims 4 Demo

- Reinstalling Origin

- Administrator mode

- Disabling antivirus

- Reinstalling redistributables from folder

I don't really know what else to do but I hope someone can help! I really want to know if I want this game or not, and if it's giving me this error then I feel like I really shouldn't buy the full thing either :/

  • Hello, I finally got it to work! I went into my control panel and uninstalled all of the VC++ redistributables. I then restarted my PC and tried to finalize the installation again and it worked. Thank you for your suggestion! It basically was what you said.

  • I uninstalled the already installed VC++ using the exectuables from the "The Sims 4\__Installer\vc" folder, there were vc2010 and vc2013 in both x86 and x64, then I tried to resume the installation and it worked without rebooting

THIS is the CORRECT solution. VC++ 2010 x86 and x64 UNINSTALL worked FLAWLESSLY
