Sims 4 desktop Shortcut not working?

    @kejake  The EA App needs to be running for the games to launch, and if it's not and can't open, you should see an error message.  The message has probably simply not been updated to reflect the presence of the EA App.  The question is why the App isn't opening when you try to run a game from its executable or shortcut.

    Which .exe files are you using?  If you haven't already, try Sims3Launcher.exe and TS4_Launcher_x64.exe.  Sims 3 at least won't launch directly from TS3.exe; trying it would simply call the launcher .exe anyway.

    Other than that, I'd suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine).  Use the Intensive scanning method when asked.  Download a fresh copy of the App installer rather than reusing an older one.  Then try to launch each game directly from the .exe.
