I've tried this before and I just tried this game however whenever I attempt to fully install the game on steam and play it one of these two things always happens. I'll start it on steam and almost immediately after it always goes back to the play button as if I canceled starting it up, or EA gives me a 'You don't have access' error message. I'm unsure if this may have something to do with me originally getting this back when EA was still origin or not, though it seems rather unlikely since I was also having this issue back then I was just able to call and get it fixed which now isn't an option. Thank you for your attempt to help me with this, and if you have any idea of how I can maybe fix this then I'm grateful for any help I can get.
@Rosieflower2207 Are you trying to launch the game through Steam or the EA App? You'd have to launch through Steam if that's where you installed it.
If that's not the issue, please try to sign into an EA website using your Steam credentials. If it works properly, you'll land in the EA account linked to that Steam account. If you get an error instead, or land in a different account, let me know.

Sorry for the late reply to this response. I did try this multiple times, but my EA and Steam are already linked account wise. So, I'm back at square one at trying to figure out what's wrong with it. Again, thank you for your help thus far and I wish I knew more about how to fix this, but I hardly use EA/origin as is I've only ever used it for the sims and nothing else.

@Rosieflower2207 Just to confirm, you've tried signing into an EA site with your Steam credentials, and it works, you land in the correct EA account? This is important because it could explain the issue all by itself.
If that's not the problem, please do a clean uninstall of both Sims 4 and the EA App, then reinstall both, using Steam to install Sims 4.
- Put aside your Sims 4 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts and rename it to something that doesn't include the words "Sims 4."
- Download Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine) from here.
- Launch Revo, select Sims 4 from the list, and click Uninstall.
- Cancel the system restore point; you don't need it.
- Once the game is uninstalled, select "Moderate" under "scanning modes," and click Scan.
- Review the list, in case there's something you want to save; otherwise, click Select All, and then Delete.
- Close Revo, and restart your computer.
For the EA App:
- Launch Revo, select the App, and click Uninstall.
- Cancel the system restore point.
- The EA App may open a window. Click Uninstall, then in the Revo window, click Moderate under Scanning modes, and click Scan.
- Revo will present a list of registry entries. Click Select All, then Delete: you don't need or want to preserve these entries.
- For the leftover files and folders, click Select All, review the list and deselect anything you'd like to keep (this is unlikely, but it's worth checking), click Delete, and you're done.
- Close Revo, and restart your computer.
Install the EA App, then Sims 4 and any packs you own through Steam. Don't install anything you own in the EA App until you've tested the game once.
