Sims 4 Error Code [0e6d1221:1df4e8dc:0000012d:912c9c10

I'm having issues with an error code about my video card for the sims 4. I had to rest my pc almost from scratch yesterday do to a power surge with our electricity. The only issue is that it's been a few years ago since I've had to mess with this. I also ran my dxdiag.exe. I have already tried the new GeForce driver and it tells me my computer incompatible but I recently had it installed before the reset. I also uploaded my dxdiag.exe report. So if anyone could help I greatly appreciate it!

  • @cicimarie08  Is this the driver you tried to install?

If you're not sure, try running it now.  Right-click the download and select "Run as administrator," choose the Custom (not Express) install method, and check the box to perform a clean install.  Restart your computer when it's done.

If you can't install that driver, please run a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:

    • Hit Windows key-X
    • Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
    • Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes, and enter
    • The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
    • After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
    • Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator)”
    • Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes, and enter
    • Post the message you receive here

Restart your computer, hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the box to check for updates.  If any install, restart again afterwards.

Then try again to install the driver.  If that doesn't work either, clean-uninstall the old driver, as described here:

and try the new driver one more time.

Thank you so much! I think I figured it out and it was my gshade mod. But I will keep this information handy. Thanks again!
