I am also having all these problems. I have repaired the game, tried updating the game, talked to an advisor from ea games for what seemed like at least an hour, clearing caches, clean booting, restarting my computer, deleting and moving files and copying them and manually trying to get around the conflicts going on. Had to completely restart. Now I cannot do anything because j cannot back up files or do save as instead of save. I cannot save anything. I am very unhappy because a lot of money has been spent with this game as well as the expansion packs available. This is a lot of time wasted trying to fix the problem going on and nothing is working it seems like it is just getting worse. Cannot play the game at all now. But something, and it's stuck there can't delete it. Try to build something, can't see it. Deleted corrupt files. ----- update! If you delete literally every saved file then you can play the game again. I guess I will just start over.
