Sims 4 FPS drops
Hi, I have been suffering from a lot of fps drops lately in The Sims 4 that are annoying. I have atleast one when I have just loaded into my family and often when entering build & buy mode. I only h...
@puzzlezaddictJust a quick update I have attached my dxdiag file but I don't seem to catch any fps drops anymore which is really strange but there is a huge lag when you enter build & buy mode while live mode is on 3 times faster speed. The FPS drops I used to have did happen randomly but some also happened for example when the voting closed or like I just said when you enter build & buy mode under certain circumstances. I did make some changes on my lot after I made this post like making the house smaller but I don't know if those ones actually affected my game.
@Aesthetixtect Your dxdiag shows a couple of Sims 4 errors that might be related to the graphics driver, and a couple of Origin errors that are probably related to Origin being annoying. The Sims 4 errors could be a bit older, and your graphics driver is new, so whatever problem there was may have already been addressed by a driver update. For Origin, you can try clearing its cache, uninstalling "the hard way," and reinstalling:

However, if most of the lag has resolved itself, you may not need to do anything. You can certainly click Me Too and post in the bug thread about lag when entering Build/Buy, but there's no good solution to that as of yet. Lag when NAP voting closes is normal and also can't be avoided, that is unless you want to disable the entire system. And if you simplified your sims' house, that could have helped a lot too.
Ultimately, it doesn't look like you need to do anything much here other than potentially clean uninstalling and reinstalling Origin.
