Sims 4 Freezes at Create-a-Sim

For awhile now, when I try to Create-a-Sim or try to "Change Appearance", especially when it comes to the facial options, the game freezes and I have to shutdown the laptop. When I play on my other laptop, I have no issue. This is a gaming computer and I enjoy playing the Sims on this computer due to it's nice graphics. I'd like to know how to get this fixed.
