Sims 4 Fridge Bug

I have seen many posts from 2+ months ago about this bug. It just started for me today. My sims will not use the stove or fridge. The money will get taken away for making food but the sims will not make the food or anything. you can grab a snack from the fridge but the sims won't go to the fridge for it. They will open the fridge from where ever they already are. And my kids 2 of them it says they are still at school even though they are in my front yard. I tried the repair game option and it still is doing the same thing. ANY HELP PLEASE! I am using a Macbook pro if that helps.
