Sims 4 Gallery STILL not working

Hello,

So I've been a long time player. Lately I've been playing offline a lot because my work wifi must wont connect to Origin. They have blockers.

But the other day, I purchased 3 new Sims 4 games in a bundle. So I had to boot up at home in order to being Origin back online. The games installed perfect. Origin updated and all was well. Out  of curiosity I decided to boot the game and go to the gallery to find new forms. And so the problem begins.

It tells me to connect online for the gallery to work. I think that's odd as my origin WAS online and I was able to do all my updates. So I press connect and it comes up saying I need an internet connection. This has never been a problem before. Things I have done:

1. I'm 31 and my account is not age restricted (I've used the gallery 100s of times and uploaded to it as well)

2. Reset my router

3. Repaired the game

4. Uninstall and reinstall the sims and origin

5. Booted up without mods

6. Made sure the options for online are selected in other under the 3 dots (menu)

6. Flushed my DNS

The other articles and topics I've found online are old and unhelpful. So does ANYONE have any suggestions? I dont understand why it wont recognize that I am online

Today there are only three recipes for this and it does not always work.
the first is directly from EA, not the latest but also not ancient. In a dozen or so cases it helped
    I assume you have a Win10 system
1, This is the EA advice given to another user in a similar case:
Hold down the Windows Key and press X.
    Click Administrator: Windows Powershell.
When the command prompt opens, type ipconfig/flushdns and press Enter.
Type ipconfig /registerdns and press Enter.
Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.
Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.
Once you complete this please complete the following steps mentioned below and your issue should be resolved.
Open the Start menu and search for msconfig.
    Click on System Configuration.
    Click the Services tab.
Check the box to Hide all Microsoft Services, then click the Disable All button.
Click on the Startup tab, then click on Open Task Manager.
It can take a few seconds for the Task Manager list to load.
Click each of the Startup programs in the list then click the Disable button.
    Close the Task Manager window.
Click OK on the System Configuration window to save your changes, then restart your computer.
Once you restart your computer, try launching your game again.

    2. This method worked for two players. For the one who invented it and for the other who decided to try it out.
    1. Open Origin
    2. Now go to your router and disconnect LAN cable or just go to this path:
    Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections
If you already there just Right-Click on your current connection and click option Disable.
    3. Run your Sims4 game
    4. Plug in your LAN cable or restore connection in Control Panel (while game is running in loading screen)
    5. Minimalize SIMS4 (ALT+TAB) - navigate to Origin application click light blue text on top of Origin menu so you can have a connection and be able to run your all DLCs in the game! (Remember to minimalize your game in loading screen as fast as you can so Sims4 won't detect that you don't have a connection)

    3. The third traditional method for all problems: Try doing a factory reset as described in this post:
    https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/resetting-the-game-to-factory-settings-without-reinstalling/

If any way helps you, let me know which one.

    I don't work for EA
  • So option 1 did not work. Everytime I tried it gave me red script that basically did such and such us not recognized as the name of...blah blah. Basically not recognizing any of the ipconfig commands

    I don't work for EA

I tried all 3. (Couldn't get one to work as it wouldnt recognize the commands) and none of them worked. I'm connected to internet. Origin loads online. Even the main menu of the sims 4 shows all the games and I can click to purchase ones I dont have (something it doesnt do when ur offline) and the gallery still says I'm offline
