SIMS 4: GAME HAS RESET ITSELF?
I recently switched my Sims 4 game to another computer, and willingly overwrote my previous world (keep in mind that my computer actually still has those save files). I had started another family and I'd gotten in deep, they'd began living the comfortable life of Sims after probably a good 30-45 hours of playing. The last time I played was yesterday, and I saved. Save early, save often is a motto I go by, sot here should be at least a hundred save files in my computer just from this game. I go to start playing today, and it's wiped. It's like the game reset itself and I had never touched it. My gallery is reset so I can't bring back anything, and it's giving me tutorials like I don't have 215 hours of play time. I've been looking online to try and fix this, and here are the things I've tried:
1.) searching for my tray folder and checking if anything was misplaced
2.) find my save files and restart from an earlier save point
3.) go to my scratch folder and check for "the files"
The only one I think might work is the scratch folder because I see a lot of files in there, but I couldn't find a single article actually explaining what to look for or what to move or anything related. So how do I get my world back? I've had save files disappear on my computer before, and I was never able to fix that before. Is it possible it's my computer.
Those would be in the Tray folder.
You can just turn off the lessons or put some other files back
Here's a little overview on what files are what
