Sims 4, Game Save Last Name, Book Issues, Crafting Table Problems
I rarely post. I believe this is my first post here. I have 3 issues. Any workarounds or ideas?
1) Craft table for kids caused me to not be able to save until I figured it out and deleted it. Good thing I didn't place much during that time 🙂
2) My 2nd save game is of a few women and my first save game is a family of 7, with ? babies on the way. When I saved the "Winter" women in my second world, my saved game last name showed "Thomas" which is the family of 7. Save Glitch? Two saves did this, the auto save and my manual save. EDIT: I just realized what may have happened, somehow! I saved (not save as) . After playing Thomas for a few days I loaded up the "Winter" women. I hit save, not save as. Somehow it merged that save game with my other save game so they are both in the same game, just two worlds. Is this normal??? lol
3) Kids are doing their homework but leaving the books laying about. Two books I cannot get to. They are in the street so now I can't even click on them. I didn't see them at first. They do this with other books too, even the ones taken from their own inventory. Seems they'd go back into the inventory. I was having an issue with other sims resetting when one finishes a book. Not sure if this is still an issue.
I read the list in the thread "read this first" with bug lists but saw nothing under saves, which was the reason I came. I just included the others above to prevent multiple posts. ^.^
(Off Topic, mostly, though a few may be seen as needing a tweak) I'd really like a way to organize a bit better, paintings cannot go into the chests. ☹️ Sims are playing musical chairs a lot and I would love a way to "begin group" without calling everyone else in the group on accident when chatting with family members who are also in the group. If I gather 3 family members to chat, they instantly change into group clothes and others announce they are on their way.. ☹️ Plus these sims are in a family only group and a family plus friends group. I think they are conflicting? Just wish it worked a bit better. Need more modern doors, too.. Could use some elevators, too. My hospitals seem silly without. Would love the ability to create working apartments & Hospitals.
Though I mentioned quite a few things above, I am enjoying the game now that their are some EPs out for it. The variety of choices in building is nice 🙂 Yep, pretty good. Not "Sims 3" but in it's own and on it's own, it is a fun and distracting/entertaining game that is really helpful in stressful times.**thumbs up**

Thanks for getting back with me. I wasn't sure if anyone responded here so I was a bit surprised to see a response touching down on a majority of subjects I posted about. Sorry to put so much in one. Thanks for the links, too.
I do not recall the error message but whatever it said, it was typically with a faulty object, going by my searches. Many gave up & lost their save game but I got lucky enough to find out it was the kid's crafting table that was doing it. They've placed fine ever since. No clue what started it. I did not shut down my game when the error occurred. I stayed in game so as to not lose the hour or more of game play. A lot can happen in an hour in the world of the sims. I researched online and found objects can cause that error so I deleted the most recent objects I had added until I found the culprit. I never saw reports on the crafting table online but there were reports on another object or two. I hope that helps.

I couldn't delete the object easily but did find a way. 🙂
